Techmor was founded in 2004 by Todd Mory in Greensboro, North Carolina. The goal was to design and develop advanced products with an emphasis on innovation and superior quality.
Beginning with precision measuring devices for the racing industry, Techmor has expanded its product design to include projects for medical research, military contracting, consumer goods and data analysis utilizing android phone applications.
Techmor moved its headquarters to Cornelius, NC in October of 2010.
Todd has a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Penn State University and a Physics Degree from Bloomsburg University. During school, he was a founding member of the Penn State Formula SAE Team.
After college, Todd designed and developed advanced automation equipment at Lutron Electronics, the premier high-end supplier for high-efficiency, and smart-house products.
In 1998, he started work at Ford Motor Company, working in engine controls with Cosworth, on F1 V10 engines for Stewart Grand Prix (later Jaguar Racing). He supported several Champ Car projects with Patrick Racing, Team Rahal, and Forsythe Racing. Todd also worked in Ford’s Scientific Research Lab on next-generation stability control using gyro sensors.
In 2004 he went to work for Toyota Racing Development, applying new technologies in the Craftsman Truck Series, then on to support NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Teams.
In addition to core competencies, Techmor leverages a large network of partner companies to solve engineering challenges of all types.
